POLITICS HON. IDAHOSA SUPPORTERS RAISE PETITION TO THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF APC H E GANDUJE

Monday, February 26th, Twenty Twenty Four the supporters of Hon. Dennis Idahosa from Ovia South East Local Government Area of Edo State trooped down to the Oguola Press Centre of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State council to register their grievances meted at their principal Hon. Idahosa a.k.a Denco by the powers that of All Progressives Congress (APC) with a petition to the National Chairman of APC His Excellency the former  governor of Kano State Alhaji Ganduje speaking to the leadership of NUJ, Edo State Council Hon. Harrison Okpamen General Secretary Local Government Area of Ovia South East Local Government Area of Edo State clearly and loudly read out ten points views they have petitioned to  the National Chairman of APC His Excellency Ganduje. 

He states that on the Saturday Seventeen February Twenty Twenty Four the Hope Uzodinma led committee did declare Hon. Idahosa the winner of the APC Primary Election, but, very sadly, he added that from nowhere another result was declared in favour of Senator Monday Okpevolo. 

He adds that the National Publicity Secretary of APC stated that it is only HE Uzodinma committee is accepted by the leadership of APC. He states that HE Bassy Otu of Cross River State came down on 22nd February, 2024 to conclude the primary election adding that they are shocked to their bone marrows that their principal Hon. Idahosa has unfairly short changed. He states that they are calling the leadership of APC National to deftly resolve the knotty issue of short changing Hon. Idahosa. 

Responding the chairman of NUJ, Edo State Council Comrade Festus Alenkhe informed the group that today is the last day of the seven days ultimatum of APC Edo State to apologies to NUJ Edo State Council and the national for the barbaric attacks at journalists covering the Saturday 17th February 2024 APC Primary Election Collation Centre at Lush Ville Hotels and Suits Gapiona, G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State. He stated that the leadership of NUJ Edo State Council did hold an emergency meeting where many decisions were reached for APC Edo State to foot the medical bills of wounded reporters and replacement of damaged working tools of reporters. 

He states that reporters have the social contracts to report events either positively or negatively. Speaking further he assured the group that their petition submitted to the leadership of NUJ, Edo State Council shall be adequately looked into for effective handlings.
