NEWS EXTRA THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MENTORSHIP OF MENTEES-BARR. OKEKE

Speaking as the key note speaker at the public presentation of “The Lawyer in Embryo” a master piece book authored by Barr. Kingsley Ebimoh at the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Idowu Taylor, Victoria Island, Lagos Barr., Collins Okeke states that there has to be significance of mentorship of mentees adding that mentoring is not merely an optional aspect of legal practice that is fundamental responsibility that experienced lawyers did owe to the next generation of lawyers. 

Speaking further to the uncommon leaned colleagues and the citizenry Barr. Okeke states that the theme of his presentations are “Transformational Mentorship Amidst Economic Challenges”: The Lawyers perspective as he concurs that the legal landscape is really a complex one, ever evolving and often intimidating for those just beginning their law careers. Barr Okeke states that by taking on the role of mentor, they provide young lawyers with the tools, insights and confidence they needed to go through this herculean tarrain successfully. 

Barr. Okeke critically bared his mind on the harsh realities of the Republic’s Economic Challenges as he avers that the Republic economy has been grappling with many challenges which include inflation, unemployment and a struggling currency. Barr Okeke avers that the inflation rate has hit the roof tops to about 30% which has in actual sense made life extremely difficult for the citizenry. 

He concurs that the unemployment rate has jerked up with several young graduates struggling to secure jobs. He painfully expressed that the naira has depreciated significantly against major currencies thereby making it extremely challenging for businesses to operate and as well as for the citizenry to make ends meet. Barr. Okeke as the key note speaker did not disappoint the eclectic audience with the cerebral deliveries and thereby he itemized his various tools as:

·     The Power of Transfer for National Mentorship

·     Creating opportunities for practical experience

·     Advocating for policies and Reforms

·     Leveraging Technology and Collaboration

·     The Ripple Effects of Mentoring

·     A Call to Action

In rounding off his presentations Barr. Okeke concurs that Poverty creates Hunger, Hunger creates Desires and Desires create Accomplishments. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline, the representative of the Chairman of the event Sir John Uchechukwu Esq, states that the Chairman of the event Sir Chukwuka Ikwuazon SAN would have loved to be physically available, but, owing to NEC meeting of NBA at Yobe, therefore Sir Justice Uchechukwu is mandated to stand in for him. Speaking further, he states the author of the book, The “Lawyer in Embryo” Barr Ebimoh is a well known learned colleague that they both crossed paths at their law school days adding that they have remained inspiring learned colleagues to each other. 

He adds that Barr. Ebimoh has been a hardworking learned colleagues. He adds that the book “The Lawyer in Embryo” is a masterpiece that all and sundry should read. He adds that they have all come to encourage Barr. Ebimoh with his public presentation of his book and as well as support him with their large heart. He adds that he believes that readers would find the book so inspiring and all that. 

Speaking with Iconblazemagazineonline the author of the book “The Lawyer in Embryo” Barr. Ebimoh states that he is a Lawyer and he is inspired to write and publish the book through the Holy Spirit of God of Love and Peace adding that he is extremely passionate about providing functional blueprints and capacity building strategies for young professionals. 

Barr. Ebimoh states that it takes a period of six years for one to become a qualified Lawyer adding that Embryo takes a period of six weeks to develop biologically in the womb of a woman and he also added the concept of the book is practically to assist those studying Law at various Universities and as well as young Lawyers. 

He adds that he is extremely happy that the public presentation of his book “The Lawyer in Embryo” has actually become a dream come true to the glory of God of all creations. They are three different book reviewers of the masterpiece titled “The Lawyer in Embryo” Barr. Collins Okafor, Emmanuel Abraye et’al and these three egg heads did review the book from different angles, but, at the end of their academic experimentations they showered praises at the Author Barr. Ebimoh and they deftly and critically provided heavy critiques on the book. 

They generally recommended the book for all and sundry, but, largely for those studying Law at the Universities, Law Schools and Young Lawyers. The Law Students of University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos attended the book launch. Barr Oladele Ojogbede of 35 years experience at the Bar kicked off the book launch proper with a handsome amount of cash.
